Social Work Practice I

The course introduces trainees to social work theory and practice at the individual, community and social policy levels with an emphasis on the connection between social problems and oppression.

Target Audience

Individuals who are interested in pursuing a career as social workers, educators, or social work practitioners who want to improve their knowledge and skills.

Learning Objectives

Develop awareness of the social work practice in the UAE, Improve students’ ability to identify and critically analyze social problems, introduce participants to social work at the individual, family, and community levels, and assist them in determining whether social work is a profession they would like to pursue.
